Come enjoy traditional tea and all its accoutrements in our Tea House.
Our Tea House is open from the middle of May to the middle of October. We serve traditional English teas and a small selection of Asian specialty teas. Either kind of tea comes with accompaniments in the form of light foods, fruits, and simple desserts. An English service comprises either a light or full tea. Light service includes a fresh pot of tea and scones or biscuits. Full service includes a fresh pot of tea and meal. Asian specialty teas are served with seasonal fruits and sweet sticky rice. We make our own fresh cheeses, breads, and baked goods. We only use locally grown, seasonal vegetables and fruits. The tea house overlooks the back vegetable garden, a small vineyard and the grazing fields for our llama, alpaca, sheep, and goats. It is truly a unique and relaxing Maine experience.

We offer a full line of baked items, including over 12 types of breads, pastries, cakes, pies, bars, muffins, and doughnuts.
Our breads include:
- Anadama - cornmeal bread sweetened with molasses.
- Oatmeal - rolled oats sweetened with molasses.
- 7 grain - lightly sweetened with seven kinds of grain.
- Whole wheat
- Spelt
- Cinnamon raisin and/or cinnamon swirl - raisins with cinnamon or cinnamon swirled through the dough.
- White
- White cornmeal
- Seed - it's a meal in a slice! Several kinds of grains, nuts, and seeds blended and baked to perfection! Sweetened with maple syrup.
- Dilly cheese - dill and cheddar baked right in.
- Sourdough
- Mustard cheddar - prepared mustard with cheddar.
- Italian
- French
- Rye
Most of our breads are vegan friendly and we take custom orders for those that may not be! We can make vegan scones, doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, and croissants - our vegan friends love them! Our breads are available at our store and at other farm stands along with our cheeses. Nezinscot Farm breads are made in a traditional style, with each loaf averaging about 2 pounds. |

Nezinscot Farm Cafe
All the food offered in our cafe is made here at the farm. Nothing we serve or prepare has been brought in from wholesalers or large markets. All our baked items are made from scratch using the most wholesome ingreients available. Many of the ingredients are produced or grown here, or come from other local Maine sources. You can download our menu here.
Our cafe features a family style seating arrangement and sits adjacen to our farm store. You can order food right at the counter and we will prepare it for you then and there. If you would like something but you don't see it on our menu, feel free to ask if we can make it! Since we cook everything fresh and prepare all meals to order, we can make pretty much anything! We offer a full range of foods, including green and mixed vegatable salads, soups, condiments, and a full breakfast menu. Most of our foods can also be prepared in a vegan or vegetarian way, and all our foods are wholesome, tasy, and farm fresh!
No reservations are required, just come in and place your order. If you have a particularly large party, however, please do call ahead so we can be prepared with seating for everyone at the same table and plenty of food on hand!
We start serving food at 7 AM and stop at 4 PM. The farm store is open later, however, until 6 PM. |
