organic food growers maine Here at Nezinscot Farm, we take great pride in our involvement with the community. By hosting several fun and informative activities, opportunities, and retreats, we offer a taste of our farm life to everyone.
OUR GOAL:
To educate on the importance of encouraging a diverse and sustainable agricultural system by supporting your local farms.

2008 Schedule of Events


In addition to the following, look for upcoming information on our annual experiential working weekend at the farm for women, men, families.
  • Mark your calendars for an on farm Educational Summer Day Camp for Kids (ages 10-15) taking place summer of 2008. Three weekly sessions beginning in July and going into August. More information to follow in the next few months.
  • Womens Experiential Working Weekend - August 7th, 8th and 9th. An opportunity to come work and learn on a diversified organic and sustainable farm. This year's focus will be on cheese making, garlic harvest, animal husbandry, fiber, and putting food by for the upcoming winter months.

  • July 27th: Open Farm Days 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bring the family by for a wonderful day at the farm. Picnic, farm tours of all the animals, gardens, dairy. Demonstrations on fiber and cheese making will be going on throughout the day.
  • August 9th--Our fourth annual GARLIC FESTIVAL at Nezinscot Farm. Bring your friends and family to spend a wonderful day trying out all different kinds of food made with that wonderfully pungeont herb/root called GARLIC!!!! A gourmet buffet luncheon from the Nezinscot Farm Staff will be prepared and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    • Garlic ice-cream making, garlic harvest and identification, buy your seed stock for your own production and or winter needs.
    • A suggested $10/adults and $6/ children over 8 for the luncheon only.
    • As always, the farm will be open for tours and if you have any questions, please call us at the store.
  • October 13th: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Canadian Thanksgiving Pot luck supper. Bring your favorite dish; fresh turkey and bread will be provided, join others in celebrating this years bounty.
  • December 13th: 11:30 to 2 p.m. Christmas Luncheon Join us for a festive luncheon featuring a traditional holiday meal of lamb, duck, goose, turkey, and the fixings. A great way to get your Holiday season off to a great start. Hand crafted gifts available in the gift and yarn shop for all ages
