Tri-Loom Weaving

Jaida will be teaching a Tri-Loom Weaving class Saturday, October 14 and Sunday, October 15 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. In this fun interactive class, students will learn the many versatile uses of pin looms and master the simple technique of continuous strand weaving. Using a tri-loom, each student will produce a small handwoven shawl and take home a new skill that can be adapted and designed to produce an endless variety of handwoven creations. Class is $50 and includes materials.

 

Crochet Intro Class: The Granny Square Crochet

Join Robin Rockett for this intro class to crocheting the famous Granny Square. This class will acquaint you with the materials and basic stitches needed to produce the Granny Square. These colorful square can then be used in creating a number of beautiful projects such as a colorful scarf, a wall hanging, a shawl, a blanket and even a hat.

Materials Needed: You can purchase these materials at the fiber studio, and select the yarns that you’d like to use in the project! Or bring your own!

2-3 skeins of worsted weight yarn

5mm crochet hook

a small pair of scissors

small yarn needle

Cost is $40/person

Knitting Class: Fingerless Mittens

Fall is in the air! Join us October 14th and create a pair of snuggly mittens while learning to work in the round on double points. Kim McArthur, local spinner, and knitting guru will be your instructor. She is a member Nezinscot Guild and produces the majority of the hand-knit sweaters found in our studio.
