Spring 2018 Fiber Interns
My name is Annie Lewis and I am a third-year fine arts student at the University of Cincinnati School of Design Architecture Art and Planning. I am focusing on ceramics and two-dimensional mediums like drawing. I make work about the female experience through the scope of my personal identity. I am inspired by the female weavers of the early 20thcentury like the women of the Bauhaus movement including Otti Berger and Gunta Stotz. I also am fascinated by the design work of William Morris who believed that high-quality artisan goods should be affordable and easily accessible. I hope to incorporate these aesthetics into my fibers work I create at Nezinscot Farm. I am also looking forward to gaining invaluable skills and experiences that come along with working closely with animals and working hard to create a finished product.

Spring 2018 Fiber Intern
My name is Samantha Lakamp. I am a third year Fine Arts major at the University of Cincinnati. As an artist, I work mostly with 2D mixed media and drawing. My art discusses positive social change, consumerism, environmental concerns, and social interactions. While interning at Nezinscot Farm Studio, I hope to develop and strengthen my skills in fiber arts and incorporate these skills into my mixed media work. I am also looking forward to working in an environment that values the quality of the handmade.
