As we move into the fall months, our produce availability shifts, saying goodbye to the sweet berries of summer and hello to the crisp citrus and apples of Fall. Each season offers an array of beautiful fresh produce and it is a great time to start experimenting with new recipes to incorporate more seasonal fruits and vegetables. At Nezinscot Farm we like to remind our customers to shop locally and purchase only the freshest and seasonal fall produce. Here are a few recommendations for moving forward with our fall produce items.

Apples: Cortland, Macintosh, Granny Smith, Macoun and many more. Check out a full list HERE

Pears: While usually overlooked, pears are a great addition to your produce selection and can be used to make some beautiful desserts :-). 5 Pear Desserts to try.

Winter Squash: Butternut, Buttercup, Delicata, Sugar Pumpkin, Dumpling etc… Check out full list and recipes ideas HERE

When we don’t purchase locally in Maine our New England Organic Produce Supplier is Alberts Organics
